Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care for animals, assisting veterinarians in various procedures, and ensuring the well-being of our furry patients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of animal physiology and be skilled in both clinical and laboratory settings.

Duties

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Conduct animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during procedures.
  • Monitor anesthesia levels and vital signs during surgeries.
  • Provide dental care, including cleanings and extractions, while utilizing dental terminology.
  • Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care and training techniques

Requirements

  • Experience with animal care, including knowledge of animal physiology and behavior.
  • Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment handling.
  • Familiarity with X-ray procedures is preferred.
  • Skills in animal catheterization and restraint are highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
