Verde Veterinary Hospital is growing, and we are looking for a part time Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are a busy, long-standing small animal hospital serving the Verde Valley with high quality medicine, kindness, and a supportive team culture. What You’ll Do

Our technicians are an essential part of the care we provide. In this role, you will help support our doctor and team with tasks such as:

  • Assisting with outpatient appointments

  • Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and sample collection

  • Dental cleanings, digital dental radiographs, and dental charting

  • Monitoring anesthesia for surgeries and other procedures

  • Taking digital X rays and performing in house lab tests

  • Filling prescriptions and maintaining accurate medical records

  • Communicating clearly and compassionately with clients about treatments and discharge instructions

  • Helping keep treatment areas stocked, organized, and running smoothly

What We’re Looking For

  • Veterinary technician experience is preferred, but we are open to training the right person

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay calm and focused in a fast paced setting

  • Someone who communicates well, works as part of a team, and supports the flow of the hospital

  • Reliability, compassion, and a commitment to excellent patient care

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and safely restrain animals when needed

Schedule and Hours

  • Part time position

  • Mon 7:45am - 5:15pm, Tuesday 6:45am - 5:15pm, Wednesday 6:45am - 5:15pm. Occasional Thursday or Friday coverage may be requested. 1 hour lunch. Average 27-35 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Previous tech experience preferred (non-credentialed is okay!)

  • Reliable transportation

  • A strong work ethic
