Riverview Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. Whether you're a credentialed technician (CVT, RVT, LVT) or an experienced veterinary professional without credentials, we'd love to connect.

Our hospital provides a level of medicine that is uncommon for a general practice. We routinely perform advanced procedures including:
- TPLO surgeries
- Fracture repairs
- Endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures
- Brachycephalic airway surgeries
- GDV surgeries
- Splenectomies
- Rehabilitation services
- Acupuncture
- Home hospice care
- Advanced dentistry and diagnostics
What You'll Do
Depending on your experience and interests, responsibilities may include:
- Obtain patient histories and maintain accurate electronic medical records
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and medication administration
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
- Perform laboratory diagnostics, including hematology, cytology, urinalysis, and blood chemistry
- Assist with dentistry, including dental radiographs and prophylaxis
- Support hospitalized and urgent care patients
- Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
What We're Looking For
- Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant experience required
- Credentialed Veterinary Technicians (CVT, RVT, LVT) encouraged to apply
- Experienced non-credentialed veterinary professionals will also be considered
- Anesthesia monitoring experience required
- Emergency anesthesia experience preferred
- Dental experience preferred (training available)
- Ability to adapt to multiple doctors' workflows and patient needs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
