Want to have fun in the sun? Hate shoveling snow? Then we have the job for you! Gandy Animal Hospital in beautiful Tampa Florida is expanding our team and are looking for qualified Veterinary Technicians/Nurses. We are an AAHA accredited practice with a family friendly culture.

 

 

We are looking for Veterinary Nurses who are self-motivated, quick thinkers who are able to multi-task efficiently, and have excellent communication skills, compassion and empathy. Veterinary Nurses are expected to be client-education oriented and ready to satisfy the needs of the clients, and are integral in relaying important patient care information between the pet-owners and the Veterinarian. All applicants will be held to the same standards of high quality care, and must be able to perform any of the typical duties expected of a quality Veterinary Nurse; 

 

 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

 

  • Triage and obtain patient history
  • Venipuncture/IV Cath placement
  • Dental Procedures- Cleaning/Polishing/Radiographs/Charting
  • Perform radiography
  • Patient care including diagnostic procedures and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
  • Inducing and monitoring anesthesia in a sterile environment
  • Operating room preparation
  • Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients

Starting rate of pay will be determined based on experience.
