Metzler Veterinary Hospital in beautiful Clearwater, FL is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our outstanding team! 

 

Compensation: 

  • $18-$24 per hour

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am-5:30pm

About You:Are you an experienced Veterinary Technician that thrives in a busy client focused and pet driven environment? Seeking a cohesive and hard-working team that is equally committed to quality patient care and providing 5-star client service? If so, our hospital may be the place for you!

Position Responsibilities:   

  • Assist veterinarians with examinations and diagnostic procedures. Administer medications, treatments, and monitor all aspects of anesthesia under the guidance of a veterinarian, including ECG, SpO2, EtCO2, and NIBP. Provide pre- and post-surgical care for patients. Handle and process laboratory samples for submission to local and offsite labs.  

  • Accurately obtain and relay detailed patient histories. Document records, treatment and diagnostics into Avimark, maintain accurate and detailed communication logs, handle department voicemail, client callbacks and documentation. Educate and communicate with clients regarding their pet's condition, treatment plans, review of estimates, and follow-up care.  

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 2 years working as a veterinary technician. Licensure a plus

  • Strong technical skills

  • Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members 

  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
