Position Overview:

 

We are looking for a motivated, compassionate, and reliable Non-Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our team! As a Veterinary Technician at Mundelein Animal Hospital, you will play a vital role in the health and well-being of the pets we serve. This position requires a solid understanding of veterinary practices, excellent patient care skills, and a dedication to providing exceptional customer service.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Animal Care: Assist in routine exams, diagnostic procedures, and surgeries. Monitor patients during anesthesia and provide post-operative care.

Lab Work: Collect samples (blood, urine, feces) and perform in-house lab testing.

Patient Preparation: Prepare animals for surgeries, including anesthesia induction and monitoring vital signs.

Client Communication: Communicate with pet owners about treatment plans, medication instructions, and post-care instructions.

Medical Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in our practice management system.

Inventory Management: Help manage medical supplies and ensure the clinic is fully stocked with necessary materials.

Assist Veterinarians: Support veterinarians during exams, procedures, and surgeries.

Qualifications:

 

Previous experience as a veterinary technician or in a related animal care field is preferred but not required.

Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both with clients and team members.

Ability to multi-task and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

A passion for animal care and client service.

High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or training in animal care is a plus.

Compensation:

 

The base hourly range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00. Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
