Job Description

We are a 5 (soon to be 6) doctor, AAHA accredited, small animal hospital. We offer general practice services, urgent care services, and clinic trials through compassionate care and high medical standards. We are bringing in Dr. Conrad, a 2025 graduate, and are looking for an experiences technician to work with her. She will be starting in August, so we are looking to have someone in place by mid July to start training. We have a full-time position that is a fours days a week with a Saturday rotation of 1 Saturday per month. We offer a comprehensive benefit package for full-time employees. Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required.

Job Expectations:

  • Compassionate care for both our patients and clients
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Patient care with an emphasis on critical care
  • Collection and preparation of laboratory samples
  • IV catheter placement and medication administration
  • Anesthesia, dental surgery, and general surgery experience
  • Timely and thorough medical record keeping
  • Safe animal restraint
  • Client education

Qualifications

  • Registered Veterinary Technician and/or Veterinary Assistant certification preferred
  • Ability to work independently and with others in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to multitask
  • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to work
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand on feet for at least 90 seconds while being physically fit
  • Must be able to reach, bend at the knees and stand for long periods of time while working in a busy environment.
