Position: Full-Time Veterinary Technician

Location: Katy, TX 

Hours: Monday–Friday, 1 PM – 7 PM + every other weekend

What You’ll Do: 

  • Be a champion for patient care and comfort 
  • Follows appropriate safety precautions and assist in restraining pets in a manner that allows necessary procedures to be done with minimal stress to patients 
  • Take accurate medical histories and educate clients with confidence 
  • Collect, prepare, and run laboratory samples for in-house lab tests 
  • Proactively assesses patient needs, records all findings, and notifies veterinarian 
  • Monitor patients under anesthesia and place IV catheters 
  • Take diagnostic and dental radiographs 
  • Perform dental cleanings 
  • Carry out essential skills like venipuncture, vaccine administration, and medication dispensing 
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked clinical environment 
  • Ensure boarding, grooming, and hospitalized pets feel at home 

 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. 
  • 2–3 years of experience as a veterinary technician 
  • Is punctual and has excellent time management skills 
  • A self-starter with excellent communication and customer service skills 
  • Possess a good attitude and contribute to a positive work environment 
  • Strong multitasker with attention to detail 
  • Positive, ethical, and reliable team player 
  • AVImark experience is a plus!
