Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant (Experienced) – Full Time

Veterinary Technician Job | Monument, CO

Woodmoor Veterinary Hospital & Pet Lodge is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our supportive small animal hospital in Monument, Colorado.

We are open to licensed or unlicensed technicians and experienced veterinary assistants who have strong hands-on experience in a surgical veterinary hospital environment, particularly with anesthesia support and dentistry.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety between surgery and appointments while working in a close-knit, team-first culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Support anesthesia monitoring and surgical workflows
  • Assist with dentistry and patient care
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Support a team-based hospital environment where everyone helps as needed

Schedule
  • Full-time schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
  • Typical shifts fall between 7:00am–6:00pm depending on surgery vs. room days
  • Earlier start times on surgery days (earlier end times accordingly)
  • Occasional weekend boarding coverage as needed (primarily volunteer-based)
  • One holiday per year required

Compensation
  • $18–$23/hour, based on licensure and experience

Qualifications
  • Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience required
  • Prior experience in a surgical veterinary setting strongly preferred
  • Comfort with anesthesia support and dentistry
  • Positive, team-first attitude
  • Strong communication and client care skills
  • Reliable and adaptable in a collaborative environment
