Veterinary Technician

Brentwood Family Pet Care

Job Description

Brentwood Family Pet Care is ready to add to our team! We are adding a new Doctor to our team so we are looking for a few more experienced RVTs and/or assistants to join us.

We are a six Doctor hospital with a mission and goal to help move our industry forward in a sustainable way. We work together so that we can continue in the profession we love for the long term. We are doing that by taking a culture first approach to what we do. We work hard to be a place where everyone feels heard. When problems or issues arise, we work to solve them, not just ignore or accept them. We do not believe in the old answer, “that’s just how we’ve always done it”.

Veterinary Medicine can be incredibly fun and rewarding. This should be an industry that people want to join and we are focused on helping to do just that.

What do we offer?

·         Competitive wages

·         Weekends off

·         A team that supports each other

·         CE and other training/learning opportunities

·         Potential sponsorship through Penn Foster RVT program

·         Newer and better equipment that helps make our job easier/more efficient

·         A management team that has done the job and knows the struggles

·         A team of 6 full time doctors that love teaching and helping their team grow

·         Drama free environment (well, as much as we can – everyone has a bad day now and then)

What our expectations are:

·         Be open and honest about your skill level

·         Have a desire to learn and improve your skills

·         The basics of the job (IV catheter placement, blood draws, anesthesia monitoring, patient restraint, x-rays, dentals, etc.)

·         A passion for Veterinary Medicine and helping dogs/cats

·         Ability to “roll with the day” – we schedule in a way that is sustainable but we all know that emergency will come in etc. We work together as a team to get it done with as little stress as possible

About us:

·         A team with a variety of experience levels from a few years to almost twenty

·         We are a very busy hospital (who isn’t these days)

·         Humor and music keep us sane

·         AAHA accreditated

·         Quarterly team outings (Dave & Busters, Escape Rooms, Breweries, Wineries, Movies, Baseball Games etc.)

·         Great community and clients. We do not tolerate verbal abuse and have no problem firing clients that deserve it.

·         A break room always stocked with goodies

  • Competitive pay from $20 - $25 for non RVTs & $25 - $28 for RVTs depending on experience.  Full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision.
