Are you a veterinary Internal Medicine specialist looking to make Asheville your home in the stunning mountains of Western North Carolina? South Asheville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (SAVES), formerly known as Upstate Veterinary Specialty Pet Hospital - Asheville, is on an exciting growth trajectory and we're seeking a passionate third internist to join our remarkable team!


We have recently relocated to an impressive 28,369 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility that allows us to expand our caseload while maintaining our strong relationships with a loyal referral community. As part of our internal medicine service, you will provide comprehensive care to the Asheville region using cutting-edge equipment, including a spacious new endoscopy suite, MRI, CT scanner, interventional radiology suite with fluoroscopy, and a Holmium: YAG laser.


Joining our team means working alongside a diverse group of emergency doctors and specialists in critical care, internal medicine, neurology & neurosurgery, oncology, ophthalmology, and surgery. We are seeking a candidate with exceptional talent, enthusiasm, excellent interpersonal skills, a sense of humor, and a commitment to being an integral part of our existing team.

At SAVES, we are privileged to have the support of a referral relationship manager and a marketing manager who actively promotes awareness of the SAVES brand, doctors, and services to both the referral and pet owner communities. We take pride in being an accredited referral center by the American Animal Hospital Association.
