During this exciting time, Pruyn Veterinary Hospital in Missoula, MT is growing our team of veterinarians and veterinary technicians! About us: Pruyn Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA-accredited, 6-doctor (and growing), full service small animal practice. We recently moved into a new facility that has been curated to practice state-of-the-art medicine and provide a welcoming and safe environment for our staff, clients, and patients. Our doctors see a variety of patients including canine, feline, pocket pets, exotics and avian species! The reason we open our doors every day is to deliver the finest possible medical treatment and compassionate attention every pet and client deserves.

 

Services we provide:

·         Preventative care

·         Soft tissue and orthopedic surgery

·         Dental prophylaxis

·         Diagnostic ultrasound

·         Digital full-body and dental radiography

·         Endoscopy and laparoscopy

·         PRP and stem cell therapy

·         Rehabilitation and cold laser

·         Full Idexx laboratory

·         In-home euthanasia services

·         On-site crematory

·         7 exam rooms, a large lobby with a separate feline area, 2 surgery suites, and a large treatment area

We have a Wellness Committee with a doctor, technician, and receptionist representative to ensure everyone is being heard and supported!
  • Training and Onboarding Program. Our 3-phase training program will allow you to learn the basics and make your way to more advanced skills, to ensure you feel comfortable every step of the way.
  • Reviews and 1:1’s. Regular check-ins with hospital leadership to discuss your progress, your goals, and investing in your growth and development as an employee.

·         Open communication: Our doctors and staff have daily morning rounds to discuss the day's schedule and patients. We also like to give staff shout-outs during this time! We have regular monthly staff meetings; we close the clinic and provide lunch to ensure we get through all the important topics!

About You:

·         Experienced Veterinary Technician

·         You are an experienced veterinary technician dedicated to outstanding client service and excellent patient care.

·         Take the initiative – you are a hard worker who contributes to the operation of the entire hospital, you will help get all the day’s duties done!

·         You are versatile – you know how to effectively adapt to the individual needs of each patient and are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients and their families.

·         You possess clinical skills and experience that include (but are not limited to):

·         Patient assessment and physical examinations

·         Phlebotomy and catheter placement

·         Knowledge of radiology safety and proper technique

·         Surgical and dental experience is a plus

·         Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures

Anticipated schedule:

·         Our hospital is open Monday thru Friday 8:30am – 6pm

·         Technicians work four 10-hour shifts

·         NO weekends

 

Compensation: We believe that each team member should be compensated considering their knowledge, skills, and experiences. We expect the range for an experienced technician to be $18-23 per hour.
