Abby Pet Hospital is seeking an ER/Urgent Care Veterinarian!


Our hybrid facility offers GP/UC/ER services supported by our 9-doctor team. We’ve recently renovated our 8,000 SF and utilize top-notch equipment and technology to care for our patients in this fast-paced environment.

This position may be the perfect fit for you if any of the following apply:

  • An ER or Urgent Care Veterinarian who’s seeking work-life balance= NO overnights or back to back evening and morning shifts. 
  • A New Grad doctor interested in ER with an opportunity to mentor with our multi-doctor, fast-paced practice. 
  • A GP Doctor who loves the urgent care side.
  • Someone who wants a customized work week= 3 days or more if preferred. Open to part-time as well. 
    • 7:30 am to 7:00pm shift, with only 12-15 shifts per month for full time 
What we offer:

  • Generous base salary ranging from $120k-$150+ based on experience plus huge production potential with lots of opportunity to maximize compensation. 
  • Sign on or Relocation bonus available to doctors relocating to join our practice. 
    • The California State Board exam has been eliminated- no barriers here!

  • Non-traditional schedule, and NO Sundays
  • Either an AM or PM shift (7:30am - 1:00pm, 1:00pm – 7:00pm) with a Saturday rotation

  • Mentorship for a New Grad doctor- you'll benefit from working with our seasoned team that has a passion for knowledge-sharing and collaboration. 
    • High volume of surgeries. Varied and unusual cases to build your skillset. 
    • Within our team each doctor has areas of special interest that have found a home to thrive at Abby.

    • Digital x-rays (including dental)
    • 2 dental tables
    • In-house labs, reference labs
    • Ultrasound

  • 8 exam rooms.
  • 2 surgery suites.
  • Break room as well as a patio out back to lounge and relax.
  • A skilled and collaborative team.
    • Lots of RVTs – very rare for Doctors to do “Tech-anarian” duties
  • Strong team retention (the leadership has been with Fresno since 2011)
  • Electronic records (Avimark).

Fresno is ideal for both those seeking adventure or relaxation outside of work. Outdoor recreation options are endless with Millerton Lake (included within the top 45 greatest lakes) and Woodward park. Enjoy shopping and dining after taking in the local culture with the Forestiere Underground Gardens. Here you'll also enjoy a lower cost of living than some of the larger major cities in CA but you'll sacrifice none of the fun. Central Valley also allows for easy access to the beach, mountains, and Yosemite National Park, and Redwoods. You can live and play in the mountains if you choose and still and have an hour or less easy commute into work.


Qualifications:

Candidate must be a graduate from an AVMA accredited college or have successfully passed the ECFVG certification program or the PAVE certification program
