Countryside Veterinary Center is looking for a full or part-time Veterinary Rehabilitation Technician (CCRVN, CCRA, or CCRP) to join our growing rehabilitation program at a busy, full-service, 7-doctor small animal hospital that also offers boarding, grooming, and daycare services. Our hospital is equipped with therapeutic laser, ultrasound, electric stimulation, underwater treadmill, therapeutic exercise equipment, acupuncture, and much more. In this role, you will provide direct patient care, help design and implement rehabilitation programs, weight loss programs, and support the rehabilitation team in a variety of activities. 

 

As a Countryside Veterinary Center Rehabilitation Technician, you will: 

  • Work under the supervision of our Rehab Veterinarian to perform and implement the designated rehabilitation therapy plan.  

  • Perform rehab appointments including underwater treadmill, laser, and therapeutic exercises on dogs, cats, and ferrets. 

  • Test water chemical levels for underwater treadmill and assist with daily/weekly/monthly cleaning and maintenance as needed. 

  • Communicate with rehab clients regarding patients and schedule upcoming appointments. Educate clients and teach exercises to be performed at home with patients. 

 

When not in rehab appointments, you will: 

  • Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement. 

  • Take digital radiographs. 

  • Prepare and process lab work using Idexx equipment. 

  • Perform dental cleanings and dental radiographs. 

  • Assist with surgical induction and anesthesia monitoring.  

  • Administrator medications and injections. 

  • Calculate drug dosages. 

  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 

  • Other duties as assigned as a technician 

 

We are searching for a Veterinary Technician who:  

  • Holds a current certification in Rehab (CCRVN, CCRA, or CCRP) and Illinois Certified Veterinary Technician license. 

  • Has a High School Diploma/GED. 

  • Can lift up to 50lbs and is able to work on the floor, crawl, grasp objects, reach, and squat as needed. 

  • Possesses a positive attitude with great communication and multi-tasking abilities.  

  • Is a self-starter with excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
