Veterinarian

Huffard Animal Hospital

Job Description

Huffard Animal Hospital in Pasadena, MD, is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join their growing team!

Snapshot of Our Practice:

  • Our motto is Compassion. Care. Commitment - applicable to both our client/pet community and within our own team
  • Prioritization of the balance between providing exemplary veterinary care to our community while safeguarding our own mental health and work-life balance
  • Colleagues include experienced/established veterinarians alongside more recently graduated doctors, thereby providing access to both tried-and-true medicine and techniques as well as cutting-edge recommendations—truly the best of both worlds
  • Collaborative approach among our doctors that extends from case load and problem-solving to last-minute schedule adjustments/trades, as needed

Huffard Animal Hospital is a busy, well established community GP with a strong reputation and a genuinely collaborative doctor team. We’re looking for an Associate Veterinarian who values teamwork, flexibility, and practicing good medicine in a supportive environment

One of our biggest differentiators is our culture. Doctors don’t practice in silos here. Cases are routinely talked through together, second opinions are encouraged, and no one is expected to know everything. It’s a judgment free, supportive team that shows up for each other — clinically and personally.

Our loyal client base trusts the practice and is often willing to pursue appropriate diagnostics and care, giving doctors the opportunity to think, collaborate, and do what’s right medically — not just what’s fastest.

From an operations standpoint, we’re intentionally doctor centric and flexible. There’s no one size fits all approach. Schedules, case mix, and focus areas can be shaped around a doctor’s strengths, interests, and stage of life — whether that’s surgery, longer appointments, or a different workflow. That flexibility is cultural, not reactive.

We offer a competitive base salary of $120,000–$140,000+ (based on experience), comprehensive benefits, paid licensing and dues, CE support, and paid parental leave. Full time and part time opportunities are available.

Located between Baltimore, Annapolis, and DC, Huffard offers lifestyle flexibility — city access, water, family friendly communities, and strong school systems.

If you’re looking for a stable, respected practice where collaboration, trust, and balance truly matter, we’d love to talk.
