Job Requirements/ Skills/ Physical Demands:

VCG Astoria is hiring! We are a building something great and are looking for you to join our team! The ideal candidate will have great customer service skills, professional, upbeat, and friendly. Must be comfortable on a computer and take feedback well. Knowledge in veterinary setting and Cornerstone software a plus. We will train you for the rest.

A client service representative is the first impression for a current or potential client. You are the first and last interaction with our clients and with that comes certain responsibilities. A CSR must maintain a pleasant, polite, friendly, warm appearance and demeanor. You must be efficient, effective and be the liaison between the client and medical staff. We need for the front area to always have someone ready to welcome everyone into our practice. A Customer Service Representative must possess good critical thinking and problem solving skills, compassion, a positive attitude, the ability to follow through, excellent communication and teamwork skills. Multitasking and accepting constructive feedback is essential. Punctuality is expected.

An employee in this position must have a sense of caring for animals, be able to lift approximately 50 pounds, be able to maneuver through Cornerstone Software and read, write and understand English._ Must be experienced in a Veterinary Office setting.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Greet and welcome guests
  • Answer questions and address complaints
  • Keep updated records and files
  • Stocking, cleaning, and assisting the team with medical care
  • Client Communication
  • Additional duties as assigned'

Experience:

  • Veterinary Reception: 2 years (Required)
  • The base hourly range for this position is $18 - $20. Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
