We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for our newly expanded state of the art veterinary emergency & specialty hospital!

By partnering with primary care veterinarians, we provide our patients with the very best specialty care. Our doctors perform a variety of surgeries including advanced soft-tissue, orthopedic, oncologic, neurologic, emergency, and cardio/thoracic.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • The MRI Technologist is responsible for working directly with patients and assisting veterinarians and veterinary nurses while performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations in accordance with the veterinarian’s orders.

 

  • This professionally trained person will be responsible for the operation of MRI scanners, flow rate injectors, patient monitoring systems, and a picture archiving system.

 

  • This position is responsible for the use of radiographic supplies including gadolinium contrast while providing patient care and patient safety as established by department standards.

 

  • This position performs clerical and housekeeping functions such as customer service, examination and work area cleaning, telephone communications, computer system data entry, information retrieval, (HIS, RIS, PACS), and infection control.

 

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • MRI Technologist Education: Graduate of an AMA accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology as a Radiographer and MR technologist.

 

  • MRI Technologist Experience: 2 years’ experience in MRI is preferred. Operates Magnetic Resonance Imagers, flow regulated injectors, UPS systems, patient monitors, hospital computer systems and other associated Imaging Department equipment.

 

  • CT experience or strong desire to learn CT is a huge plus.

 

  • Must interact with professional and caring attitude toward patients, and clients.

 

  • This can be either a full-time, or part-time flexible position.

Must be eligible to work in the United States and have original, unexpired documents to verify eligibility.
