A day in the life:
Your primary responsibilities as a licensed veterinary technician at Park West Vet would be providing exceptional patient care and customer service, assisting doctors in appointments, diagnostics and treatment of their cases. Our licensed technicians are responsible for inducing, monitoring, and recovering pets for anesthetic procedures, and caring for hospitalized cases. Our licensed veterinary technicians are utilized for their specific skills that they are trained in and are given opportunities to continue their education and grow in their role. Other duties include maintaining patient medical records, client communication & education, and upholding the cleanliness standard of our facility.
Here’s what we need from you:
Our ideal candidate is positive under pressure, has a passion for helping not only animals, but people too, and the ability to make our practice better. We are looking for someone with mid-level experience with restraint, venipuncture, administering SQ injections and SQ fluids, IV fluid therapy administration, obtaining TPR on hospitalized patients, performing radiographs, communication with clients, obtaining medical history of patients for appointments, assisting doctors in exam rooms and follow up phone calls with clients.
