Job Description

Bell Creek Veterinary Hospital, a GP Small Animal hospital located in Mechanicsville, Virginia (Greater Richmond area), is seeking a Veterinarian to join our team.  


You will be joining a collaborative and tenured team with a supportive culture.  This position is full time - working 5 days a week with every other Saturday (you have a designated day off when you work Saturday) and a dedicated surgical day.  We welcome candidates from all experience levels to apply.

**$100K-$130K Base Salary (varies based on qualifications/experience)

Our hospitals mainly see small animal patients and have developed a dedicated clientele that have trusted us in the care of their pets for generations. We have the equipment, support, and staff that will allow you to practice without compromise.


About Bell Creek Veterinary Hospital:

  • Beautiful facility with 4 Exam Rooms – all have in-room computers, lift exam tables with built-in scales
  • Fully equipped Surgical suite with 2 Tables (surgery table and warming, dental table)
  • Dentistry with Dental X-Ray
  • Large treatment area with 2 tub tables
  • Oxygen ports in all areas of the hospital (Xray room, treatment, surgery, cage room)
  • Ultrasound
  • Nice-sized indoor runs for Drop Off/Surgical appointments
  • Digital Radiographs
  • IDEXX Lab equipment (Procyte, Catalyst, Sedivue)
  • Large Grooming Room

Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, or equivalent, from an accredited university
  • Licensure in good standing
  • Strong medical and soft tissue surgical skills, with ultrasound skills a plus
  • Exemplary communications skills
  • Self-motivated, team oriented, compassionate individual
  • Positively represent the hospital to our clients and community
