Job Description
Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
About Us
Our close-knit hospital team consists of 3 Internists, 2 Radiologists, 3 Surgeons, an Anesthesiologist, a Criticalist, 2 Ophthalmologists, 2 Medical Oncologists, 2 Cardiologists, a Neurologist and a large team of dedicated Emergency Veterinarians. In 2024 we welcomed our first class of ER mentee doctors to our hospital, which has infused the teams with additional learning and development opportunities.
Brand New Hospital
In the Spring of 2024, we moved into a brand-new 26,000 square foot hospital, which includes:
- Digital radiology with in-house reads
- In-house blood analyzers
- Endoscopy
- 128 slice CT,
- Two hi-flow oxygen units
- Critical care ventilator,
- Fluoroscopy/C-Arm suite
- Brand new MRI
We have plans to extend our services in 2025 to include Radiation Oncology and house an Elekta Versa HD Linear Accelerator with IMRT, VMAT and SRT. We invite you to come visit the new space and meet our team!
Emergency Veterinarian Opening
As we expand our services in the new building, we are looking to add an additional experienced or internship-trained emergency veterinarian to our growing team. Some of our ER doctors enjoy cutting soft tissue, while others prefer to refer those to our 3 surgeons. Our ideal candidate will be friendly, collaborative, and excited to offer state-of-the-art medicine for our patients. Bonus if they also love to teach and mentor!
