Job Description

Bells Animal Clinic is seeking an outgoing, responsible individual that loves dogs and cats to join our technician staff.

Job Description:

·        Prep and assist in diagnostic, medical, and surgical procedures.

·        Preform laboratory test and radiographs.

·        Operate and maintain hospital equipment – IV pumps, EKG, scales, laboratory machines, anesthetic monitors and machines.

·        Assist veterinarian in anesthetizing animals and monitoring during surgeries.

·        Properly restrain/handle dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments.

·        Fill prescriptions and administer medications. 

·        Pull blood – cephalic and jugular.

·        Place IV and urinary catheters.

·        Interact with clients and animals while collecting medical information.

·        Maintain cleanliness in exam rooms and cages after each patient.

·        Maintain a clean and sanitary surgery area and equipment.

·        Communicate and approach job duties in a mature manner.

Job Requirements:

·        Able to handle all sizes of animals and temperaments in a calm and professional manner.

·        Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

·        Demonstrate a strong work ethic, dependability, patience, and communicate effectively.

·        Expected to work some weekends and holidays – no exceptions.

·        Degree or certification not required but preferred.

·        Work experience preferred but not required – will train.

·        Must be 18 years or older.
