Job Description: As a Surgery Veterinary Technician, you will have the exciting opportunity to focus on surgery and anesthesia, working closely with our skilled veterinary team at Oakview Animal Hospital. This role is perfect for an LVT who is passionate about mastering their surgical skills and eager to contribute to the health and well-being of pets in our community.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Assist veterinarians in surgical procedures, including pre-operative preparation, anesthesia administration, monitoring, and post-operative care.

Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained.

Provide exceptional care and monitoring of patients before, during, and after surgery.

Collaborate with veterinary team to maintain high standards of care.

Educate clients on surgical procedures, post-operative care, and follow-up visits.

Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in good standing.

Strong interest and experience in surgery and anesthesia.

Ability to work collaboratively with different hospital teams.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
