Job Description

Red Bank Veterinary Hospitals, Red Bank, NJ, is currently seeking a seventh full-time Criticalist to join our growing Critical Care team and help grow our Emergency & Critical Care Residency.  

We are looking for a compassionate, collaborative, and skilled individual with strong communication skills who loves to teach. Our RBVH team excels in teamwork and camaraderie, which provides exceptional service to our patients, clients, and referring veterinarians. 

RBVH is a full-service hospital and 24-hour emergency/critical care, and VetCOT Trauma Center facility located in Red Bank, NJ, minutes from the beach and an hour from New York City and Philadelphia. We recently moved a short distance from Tinton Falls to an over 100,000 square foot hospital in May 2024. Our new building includes state of the art teaching facilities including technology for remote collaboration, a large skills lab, and the ability to practice a wide variety of medical procedures. In addition, we have a robust general practice and large specialty practice that utilizes the most current procedures and state-of-the-art equipment, including CT, MRI, PetCT, linear accelerator and C-arm fluoroscopyOur specialty practice includes specialists in anesthesiology & pain management, avian & exotics, cardiology, clinical nutrition, critical care, dentistry & oral surgery, diagnostic imaging, 24/7 dialysis, internal medicine, interventional radiology, neurology, oncology (medical & radiation), ophthalmology, physical rehabilitation, and surgery. 

Our Emergency and Critical Care Doctors are supported by exceptionally trained and an amazing group of technicians, assistants, and management team. We are committed to continuous learning and growth for our Critical Care team, ensuring all team members have the skills and tools to perform at their best 

In addition, RBVH currently has seven ECC residents and two ECC specialty interns in our program. Founded in 2022, the residency program is rapidly growing, with our first graduating this year. We hold weekly didactic rounds as well as interspersed topic lectures and hands-on labs. The Criticalists at RBVH are integral in both clinical and academic teaching for all house officers. Our residents also provide a large portion of the overnight hospital coverage.
