Gandy Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated Medical Director (Managing Veterinarian) to lead our small animal clinic! This position may include eligibility for part-ownership and a $25,000 sign-on bonus!


Located in South Tampa, Gandy Animal Hospital is a spacious and well-equipped general practice that has proudly served the Tampa Bay area for over 30 years.


We offer a comprehensive range of medical, dental, and surgical treatments to a diverse clientele, utilizing the latest equipment and technology in veterinary medicine. Skills and Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a veterinarian.
  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university 
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which the applicant is to be employed 
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics 

Responsibilities: The Medical Director will provide medical leadership for the hospital, oversee associate veterinarians, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will foster a collaborative environment that promotes high-quality care.


In partnership with the Hospital Manager, you will also be responsible for the hospital's financial performance, including preparing operating and capital budgets, and meeting budget expectations. Together, you will direct staff and manage the overall practice under the guidance of NVA Divisional Leadership.

Compensation: 
  • $150-180K base salary depending on experience 
  • This position is eligible for production-based bonuses
  • Signing Bonus
