Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing high-quality veterinary services.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians in examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Handle and restrain animals during examinations and treatments
- Perform laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood counts
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Take and develop X-rays
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of surgical patients
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment protocols
Experience
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician preferred
- Experience in animal handling, veterinary practices, and pet care
- Knowledge of animal physiology and behavior
- Familiarity with X-Ray procedures and anesthesia monitoring is a plus
- Experience with IDEXX and AviMark is beneficial
