Job Description
We are in search of a full-time Veterinary Tech Assistant to join our team! This position will be best suited for teamplayers who enjoy working and caring for animals even when they are injured/sick.
Some duties of the job include the following:
- Assist with RVT's and DVM's in paitent care.
- Lifting, carrying and restraining animals (will be assisted by other staff members in lifting animals over 40 lbs.). Should be able to lift 40lbs on own.
- Walking or standing for extended periods or time; frequently works in a bent or squatting position.
- Maintain & sterilize surgical instruments/equipment
- Clean/Disinfect cages, kennels, exam and treatment areas of hospital
