Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Regional Manager of Compliance Programs to join our team and work directly with our hospital network. You will focus on DEA, OSHA (Cal/OSHA), EPA and other Occupational Health and Safety requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing compliance programs in a multi-unit environment and possess in-depth knowledge of DEA, OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and EPA regulations. Reporting directly to the Associate General Counsel – Compliance and Corporate Governance, the Regional Manager of Compliance Programs will work closely with hospital Safety and Compliance personnel, Hospital Directors, Corporate Operations, and the Ethos Compliance team to help implement effective compliance strategies, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Work with the Hospital sites during new policy, program, and training roll-outs to ensure the Hospital is properly trained on all new and/or updated compliance programs.
- Provide training and education to employees on compliance-related matters, including DEA, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
- Aid hospitals in Ethos’ Regulatory Readiness Program by working with site leadership to develop action plans for training and improvements.
- Investigate and respond to compliance-related incidents, ensuring appropriate actions are taken and documented.
- Act as the primary point of contact for designated hospitals’ compliance-related inquiries and inspections.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in DEA, OSHA, and EPA compliance to continuously improve the company's compliance program.
- Assist with other compliance related projects upon request.
- Up to 35% travel required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience as a Veterinary Technician in a specialty hospital and/or ER is strongly preferred.
- Experience with controlled drug program management is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Legal Studies), or equivalent experience is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing compliance programs, veterinary and multi-unit experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of DEA, OSHA, and EPA regulations, with a strong understanding of how they apply to our industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Cal/OSHA is required.
- Proven experience in conducting audits, inspections, and investigations related to compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify compliance gaps and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and regulatory agencies.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Proficient in using compliance management software and tools.
- Ability to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues quickly and independently.
- High level of professionalism, work ethic, and integrity with the ability to maintain privileged and confidential information.
- Ability to dig in and take initiative, be an effective problem solver sometimes thinking outside of the box!
The base salary range for this full-time position is $95,000-$110,000. Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
