Virginia Veterinary Centers (VVC) is proud to announce the opening of our new Short Pump location, and we are eager to connect with experienced Emergency Veterinarians to join the growing team! Our new 32,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital is located in Gateway Square Plaza, just a 20-minute drive from VVC’s Cary St. Hospital in Richmond, VA.

Our team of ER veterinarians and specialists works closely to ensure every patient receives the best care possible. At our Short Pump location, you'll work with a highly skilled team of ER veterinarians and specialists, with the opportunity to rotate to our sister hospitals in Midlothian and Richmond (Carytown).

We recognize and reward dedication with a competitive compensation package that includes:

  • Negotiable base salary with 22%-24% pooled production (no negative accrual).
  • $50,000 sign on for candidates with 3+ years of experience in the Specialty/ER field.
  • Rotating schedule that ensures ER DVM availability to maintain a healthy work/life balance
  • 12 days PTO (Paid Time Off).
  • 3 paid CE days and $2000 yearly CE allowance
  • Coverage for State and DEA licensure, PLIT, and dues for memberships in AVMA and IVECCS
