Job Description
The Pet+ER team is growing again! With locations in Columbia and Hunt Valley, Pet+ER provides emergency and critical care services and the highest level of support possible to our patients and their owners. We are currently adding an Overnight Emergency Veterinarian to the team at our Columbia, MD location, with the goal of bringing us back to providing 24/7 coverage.
This role will have a set schedule of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7pm to 7am, allowing for more consistency in planning your four consecutive days off per week! Duties will include a mixture of receiving and inpatient care.
The ideal candidate
We are interested in adding additional experienced or internship-trained Emergency Veterinarians to the team at our Columbia location. If you want to practice the highest standard of care with our skilled team of dedicated doctors, we want to hear from you! ER surgical experience is a plus, and additional soft tissue surgical training is available. Minimum experience requirements for this overnight role are internship training, formal ER mentorship training, and/or 2+ years of ER-specific experience.
ER Mentorship is also available for new grads or GP doctors who have an interest in emergency medicine. Our mentorship program is tailored to individual progress and background, with the average mentee finishing in about 9 to 12 months. Training covers ER, surgery, and ultrasound through a mixture of primary casework, digital coursework, direct mentorship support, and collaboration with our experienced emergency and specialty teams. Our compensation model is ProSal, with a base salary range of $140,000 to $185,000 for experienced ER veterinarians, with earning potential of $140,000 to $350,000 when factoring in production. No negative accrual. We also offer generous sign-on and retention bonuses.
