**Job Description:** 

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency and ICU team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for critical care, excellent technical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. This role involves providing advanced medical support to patients in emergency and intensive care situations, ensuring their well-being and comfort.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Assist veterinarians in emergency and critical care procedures.

- Monitor and record vital signs of patients.

- Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as prescribed.

- Perform diagnostic tests, including blood work, radiographs, and ECGs.

- Provide nursing care and support to hospitalized patients.

- Prepare and maintain ICU and emergency equipment and supplies.

- Communicate effectively with pet owners, offering support and information.

- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.

 

**Qualifications:**

- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or equivalent certification.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary emergency or ICU setting.

- Strong knowledge of veterinary emergency procedures and critical care protocols.

- Proficiency in performing diagnostic tests and administering treatments.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle stressful situations.

- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
