Job Description

Central Coast Pet Emergency Hospital located in Arroyo Grande, CA is adding veterinary professionals to our team! If you are an experienced Veterinary Assistant, we want to talk to you!

Our 24/7 hospital is equipped to provide intensive, emergent, and urgent care for our patients when their primary care veterinarian is not available.

About You:

In order to qualify, we require more than one year of experience as a Veterinary Assistant, a strong foundational understanding of veterinary medicine in small animals, and the ability to perform the basic responsibilities of a veterinary technician/veterinary assistant including (but not limited to):

o   Venipuncture

o   Placing IV Catheters

o   Drug Calculations

o   Administration of Medications (IV or other methods)

o   Monitoring Anesthetic Procedures

o   Taking Vitals

o   Gathering Medical History

Compensation: Based on background, knowledge, and skillset

·         $21  - $26/hour

Available Schedules: Current openings include various swing shifts and overnight shifts including Saturdays.
