About Us:

Black Dog Veterinary Services, located in the beautiful mountain town of Bozeman, MT, is seeking a motivated and compassionate Veterinary Technician (certification preferred but not required, depending on experience) to join our close-knit team. We are a progressive small animal hospital offering advanced surgeries, dentistry, innovative medical treatments, and integrative/alternative care options.

What You’ll Do:

As a Veterinary Technician at Black Dog Veterinary Services, you’ll work side by side with our doctors and be fully utilized to the top of your skillset. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

· Obtain patient history and perform TPRs

· Safely handle and restrain patients using Fear Free techniques

· Perform phlebotomy and administer medications (IV, IM, SQ, etc.)

· Take diagnostic radiographs

· Collect and process lab samples

· Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgery

· Perform dental cleanings and take dental radiographs

· Fill prescriptions and support outpatient care

· Assist with client communication and education

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hospital

· Collaborate with team members to support smooth hospital flow

 

What We’re Looking For:

· Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician (1+ years preferred)

· Veterinary Technician Certification (preferred, not required)

· Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, and physiology

· Anesthesia and surgery monitoring experience required

· Excellent communication skills with clients and team members

· Compassionate, professional, and team-oriented mindset

Competitive pay: $22–$28/hour based on exp.
