Job Description

Wisconsin-Equine

The Wisconsin Equine Clinic & Hospital is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic veterinarian to join our team as an Equine Internal Medicine Specialist. This expanding, 100% equine practice is looking for a committed team player to join our current group of 10 veterinarians. Our medical case load includes both elective and emergency cases, with additional interests in Sports Medicine and Emergency Medicine being highly desirable. Our diverse and well-educated client base presents more challenging and rewarding cases both in hospital and in the field.

We are looking for candidates with strong communication skills, an energetic attitude, empathy, compassion, and enthusiasm for helping clients and patients alike. The ideal candidate will join our established, progressive, and creative hospital department. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible and have completed residency training in large animal internal medicine.

Our facility features six intensive care stalls equipped with cameras for recording and remote viewing. We utilize state-of-the-art equipment and technology, including advanced diagnostic imaging (standing & dynamic endoscopy, gastroscopy, arthroscopy, DR, US, MRI, & CT), an in-house laboratory, alternative medicine, podiatry, and regenerative therapies to support our hospital, reproductive, and field service caseload. Our friendly and talented support staff, along with our internship program, ensures exemplary 24/7, 365 care. Interest in overseeing the internship program is welcomed.

Located in Southeastern Wisconsin, between Milwaukee and Madison, and just two hours north of Chicago, our clinic is an excellent place to live and raise a family. We are committed to giving back to our community and support various local charities, including equine rescues, the homeless, blood drives, and the Salvation Army. This is a unique opportunity for both personal and professional growth, and we are searching for a long-term addition to our team!
