Job Title: Payroll Manager
Overview
The Payroll Manager will oversee all aspects of North American payroll for our growing organization. This role focuses on process efficiency, compliance, and service excellence by developing payroll administration systems, policies, and training programs to ensure accurate and timely payments for NVA employees.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration & Compliance
• Manage day-to-day payroll operations for North American employees.
• Maintain strong cross-functional partnerships to align payroll processes with service level and employee experience expectations.
• Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Identify, develop, and deliver payroll reporting to support business needs.
• Audit payroll records to verify accuracy and ensure regulatory compliance.
Process Improvement & Systems Development
• Act as a subject matter expert in payroll systems and workflows, optimizing efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead the development and enhancement of payroll processing and inquiry management systems.
• Work with cross-functional teams to automate processes and improve consistency, integrity, and compliance.
Strategic Planning & Execution
• Develop and execute payroll strategies aligned with short- and mid-term business objectives.
• Maintain and update payroll policies and procedures, ensuring secure documentation.
• Design and implement payroll training programs to empower site leaders and decentralize payroll administration.
• Manage specialized payroll tasks, including garnishments and tax filings.
Leadership & Team Development
• Hire, train, and mentor payroll team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Promote alignment with company values, competencies, and performance expectations.
• Uphold strict confidentiality and maintain the highest professional standards.
• Facilitate open communication with other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Qualifications & Experience
• 10+ years of payroll experience, including 5+ years in a managerial role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) required.
• Expertise in ADP Vantage, Dayforce, and WFN (Workforce Now).
• Strong understanding of multi-state and local tax requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), HRIS/HCM, and payroll platforms.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to summarize findings effectively.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience in matrixed organizations and influencing decision-making is a plus.
Compensation
The compensation range is between $110,000-$120,000 with opportunity for bonus.
