Veterinary Medical Oncologist

Pet+ER - Columbia

Job Description

Pet ER Plus is looking for a full-time, board-certified or residency-trained Medical Oncologist to join our team in Columbia, Maryland. We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Oncologist who is eager to establish and lead their own service. As this will be a new service, we are excited to collaborate with the new oncologist to purchase the necessary equipment to get it started.

Currently, we are an emergency-only practice, but we are expanding to include specialty services and are actively recruiting Internal Medicine and Surgery specialists. Our emergency team provides 24-hour care for hospitalized patients overnight and on weekends. We are dedicated to promoting a healthy work-life balance for our staff.

Our facility is equipped with two surgical suites, digital radiography, CT with fluoroscopy capability, scoping towers, and a wide range of interventional radiology supplies. We also have a room that is outfitted for and dedicated to rehabilitation.

Pet ER Plus is fully equipped to support safe and effective chemotherapy administration. We have a dedicated storage space for chemotherapy drugs and a biological safety cabinet for proper reconstitution and preparation. Additionally, we offer a designated chemotherapy administration room, ensuring the use of appropriate PPE and closed administration systems for maximum safety. For those interested, we also have a unit available for electrochemotherapy administration.

We’re thrilled to offer a competitive base salary with additional production incentives, along with a sign-on, relocation, retention bonuses and a generous continuing education allowance. The compensation range for this role will typically fall between $200,000 and $300,000 based on experience and qualifications. We provide flexible work options with 3- or 4-day work weeks. Additionally, we’re open to discussing buyouts for the right resident candidate. Leadership opportunities are also available.
