Manager, Applications & Products

The Manager of Applications & Products will lead an applications team supporting NVA’s General Practice (GP) business unit. This manager will lead applications delivery, support, and new product/application evaluation while keeping service levels for our customers top of mind. They will lead a team of technical and functional experts focused on clinical applications & modalities, payment solutions, practice management systems (on prem & SaaS platforms), and third-party applications. This leader will work as part of a company-wide department that supports site/field operations as well as support center functions including teams like Marketing, Finance, Data & Analytics, etc. This role offers the opportunity for the Manager of Applications & Products to exhibit their ability to understand and anticipate customer needs, ensuring that services are aligned with user expectations to lead their teams to deliver maximum value. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and loves to mentor and lead their team to deliver timely and quality work.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


Leadership
  • Performance management & hiring practices
  • Management of complex teams & products; ability drive accountability to goals, deadlines, and SLA conformance.
  • Create and implement best practices and standards for packaged applications implementation, software development, and application support methodology 
  • Lead internal process improvement and best practice setting for teams
  • Build and manage a team of diverse employees and contractors 
  • Manage project and operational budget
  • Act as a member of the extended IT leadership team


Technical
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with product vendors 
  • Evaluate and select products and service providers/vendors to deliver quality services
  • Successfully implement and support existing and new platforms for GP locations including SaaS platforms, on prem applications, clinical applications and devices, as well as payment processing applications and devices.
  • Participate in new technology review processes and product QA
  • Develop creative solutions to address business challenges in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain foundational understanding site level architecture and impact to application performance
  • Uphold policies as they relate to risk management & regulatory compliance
  • Actively participate in change management and governance processes
  • Utilize ServiceNow to monitor volume, SLA conformance, and quality. 


Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Building relationships with diverse stakeholders, facilitating communication, and managing expectations to drive collaboration and support.
  • Work closely with senior management and business unit leaders to align with business priorities. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams and business stakeholders across the company to help drive the roadmap and deliver quality solutions.
  • Convey status updates and value delivered to stakeholders in a manner that is easy for them to understand.


Up to 30% Travel will be required and can fluctuate based on business needs

Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in packaged software support & implementation (practice information management, EHR, inventory management), software engineering (web and mobile applications, API integrations), business analysis and program management
  • 4+ years’ experience leveraging ITSM products
  • 3+ years of experience in managing and coaching teams to lead application support, delivery, and service excellence
  • Strong expertise in evaluating, implementing, and supporting SaaS packaged software platforms 
  • Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet’s, and dashboard visualization tools
  • Experience working with ServiceNow, clinical modalities, BeyondTrust, or Kaseya is a big plus 
  • Expertise in a variety of technology platforms such as SQL, Power BI, Low-code/No-code platforms, Scripting tools etc. is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with senior leadership and cross functional teams
  • Experience in Veterinary Services, Hospitality or Healthcare industry is big plus
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred

The compensation range for this role is $110,000 - $120,000 base salary and is bonus and benefits eligible.
