Title: CapEx Senior Accountant
About: National Veterinary Associates (NVA™) is the largest private owner of freestanding veterinary hospitals in the United States. NVA owns over 1,000 companion animal veterinary hospitals and boarding facilities worldwide. This role is responsible for overseeing the accurate accounting, tracking, and reporting of capital projects, with a strong focus on fixed assets. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of US GAAP, capital project accounting, and extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Fixed Assets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review monthly journal entries for a portfolio of locations prepared by peer accountants, ensuring data accuracy and proper expense recognition.
• Prepare and record monthly journal entries and accruals related to CapEx activity.
• Utilize Oracle Fusion Fixed Assets to manage and track asset acquisitions, transfers, depreciation, and disposals.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of capital project costs and fixed asset balances.
• Maintain accurate fixed asset subledger and ensure alignment with general ledger.
• Prepare and present monthly and quarterly CapEx reports.
• Assist in documenting and improving accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Support year-end audit processes by preparing audit schedules and providing supporting documentation.
• Handle a significant amount of ad hoc analysis and data requests from internal stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff and provide guidance to improve team performance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field with an emphasis in Accounting.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on CapEx or fixed assets.
• Experience reviewing the work of other accountants.
• Proficient knowledge of US GAAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including use of numerous Lookup formulas, Power Query, and Pivot Tables.
• Strong proficiency in dealing with financial and numeric data.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated problem solver with attention to detail.
• Experience documenting and improving accounting processes.
• Experience with OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence) for reporting and data analysis
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Fixed Assets.

Compensation: The compensation range is between $85,000-$95,000 with eligibility for benefits.
