Animal Medical Center of Plainfield is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our state-of-the-art facility in Plainfield, IL. As a 15-doctor, full-service General Practice and Emergency hospital, we provide top-tier veterinary care to pets throughout the Southwest suburbs of Chicago. Due to growth within our GP department, we are expanding our team!

What We’re Looking For:

· A Veterinary Assistant with 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting.

· Comfortable assisting in GP surgery, patient restraint, and client communication.

· Proficiency in animal handling, lab sample processing, and radiology safety.

· Strong team player with a passion for providing exceptional patient care.

· Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist veterinarians and technicians in general practice appointments, surgery, and dental procedures.

· Restrain and handle patients for exams, treatments, and diagnostics.

· Prepare exam rooms and surgical suites for procedures.

· Educate clients on preventative care, post-surgical instructions, and treatment plans.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment area.

· Provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families.
