Abbotsford Animal Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist to join our front desk team. With over 3 decades of trusted veterinary care, Abbotsford Animal Hospital is committed to providing exceptional medical services while prioritizing the comfort and well-being of our furry patients.

 

This is a vital role that requires excellent communication skills, multitasking ability, and a love for animals and people alike. The ideal candidate is available for a flexible part-time schedule, including occasional weekends.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage reminders
  • Maintain accurate patient records and input data into veterinary software
  • Process payments and invoices
  • Coordinate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Assist clients with questions or concerns, both in person and over the phone
  • Maintain cleanliness and order at the reception area

 

Requirements:

  • Previous customer service or receptionist experience (veterinary or medical preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable handling pets and interacting with pet owners
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with veterinary software (e.g., AVImark, Cornerstone, etc.) is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Availability to work part-time hours, including some evenings or weekends
