Job Title: Veterinary Technician
Location: Pet Haven Veterinary Clinic
Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Veterinary Technician to join our team! We are looking for someone who is dedicated to animal health, skilled in patient care, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
  • Restrain animals safely and compassionately during exams and treatments
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
  • Perform basic laboratory tests (fecals, bloodwork, urinalysis) and prepare samples for outside labs
  • Provide client education on medications, procedures, and wellness care
  • Perform routine procedures such as nail trims, ear cleanings, and anal gland expressions

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 months - 1 year of experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting
  • Strong skills in animal handling and basic procedures

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassion for animals and their owners
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy clinical environment
  • Familiarity with veterinary software (e.g., AVImark) is a plus

Work Schedule:

  • Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and occasional holidays, depending on the clinic's hours
  • Shifts may include mornings and evenings.
