Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Veterinary Technician to join our team! We are looking for someone who is dedicated to animal health, skilled in patient care, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
- Restrain animals safely and compassionately during exams and treatments
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Perform basic laboratory tests (fecals, bloodwork, urinalysis) and prepare samples for outside labs
- Provide client education on medications, procedures, and wellness care
- Perform routine procedures such as nail trims, ear cleanings, and anal gland expressions
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months - 1 year of experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting
- Strong skills in animal handling and basic procedures
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassion for animals and their owners
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy clinical environment
- Familiarity with veterinary software (e.g., AVImark) is a plus
Work Schedule:
- Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and occasional holidays, depending on the clinic's hours
- Shifts may include mornings and evenings.
