Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary SX Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care for animals, assisting veterinarians in various procedures, and ensuring the well-being of our furry patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
  • Perform animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both the animals and staff.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
  • Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by veterinarians.
  • Monitor the health and behavior of animals in our care.
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care and health maintenance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic, including kennels and treatment areas.
  • Support veterinary critical care efforts when necessary.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and knowledge:

  • Proficient in animal anatomy and physiology to assist with medical procedures.
  • Experience with animal restraint techniques to ensure safe handling of pets.
  • Familiarity with kennel operations and maintaining a clean environment for animals.
  • Knowledge of veterinary practices, including critical care protocols.
  • Ability to handle dogs and other animals safely and effectively.
  • Previous experience in pet care is preferred.
