Job Description

Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated team. In this role, you'll support our veterinary team by accurately filling prescriptions for canine and feline patients, managing medication refills, and educating clients on proper medication use.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately fill and label prescriptions and manage refills in our pharmacy system.
  • Communicate with clients regarding prescription requests, denials, and medication instructions.
  • Assist with inventory, unpacking orders, and ensuring correct medication quantities and expiration dates.
  • Process payments, submit pet insurance claims, and schedule appointments as needed.
  • Package and mail medications and lab samples following proper protocols.
  • Maintain clean, organized public pharmacy areas and complete daily open/close checklists.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational habits
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Previous veterinary or pharmacy experience is a plus
