Do you love animals and the people who love them?  NVA GP is looking for Field Medical Partner (FMP). This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the veterinary community.

In this role, you will partner closely with the field leadership team and collaborate deeply with hospital leadership across your assigned division(s) to execute strategic initiatives, promote clinical excellence, and enhance the experience of veterinary professionals. This position plays a pivotal role in aligning operations, finance, and medical priorities to support hospital success and deliver sustainable business results. The primary focus will be advancing standards of care across NVA’s GP community to deliver exceptional outcomes for patients, clients, and teams. This individual will report to the Director of Clinical Strategy and Standards as a key member of the Medical Team, serving as a bridge between field operations and clinical strategy.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this full-time role, your core responsibilities will center on high-impact activities within the hospitals designed to elevate medical quality:

  • Collaborate with hospitals to evaluate and improve medical practices, including the development of a quality-of-care framework and ensuring consistent implementation of standards.  Support hospital teams in aligning with established protocols and best practices.
  • Partner with MDVMs to maintain compliance with provincial veterinary regulations. Conduct compliance audits and work with teams to address gaps and sustain regulatory alignment.
  • Partner with MDVMs and operations teams to apply tailored strategies for hospital success. Participate in regional and national events to foster community engagement.
  • : In partnership with the FLT, People and Recruiting Teams, work to develop initiatives to foster a sense of belonging and satisfaction among veterinary professionals.
  • Promote a positive culture and an environment of psychological safety.
  • Elevate the hospital teams through meaningful training and development opportunities. 
  •   Serve as a thought partner and subject matter expert for the Field and Hospital Leadership in support hospital teams in achieving their goals.

What You’ll Bring to NVA GP

  • 10+ years of clinical experience
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited school
  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice veterinary medicine in all applicable states for assigned hospitals
  • Proven leadership and management experience
  • Strong understanding of veterinary regulations and standards of care
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Should live in close proximity to a large airport
  • Ability to travel (approximately 50%)

Compensation: $135-165,000 salary with additional incentives and benefits
