Ridgetop Animal Hospital is a 6-doctor, AAHA-accredited practice comprised of a compassionate, dedicated team of veterinary professionals committed to providing exceptional care to the pets in our community. We are seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team in delivering outstanding patient care, supporting our doctors, and helping us uphold the highest standards in veterinary medicine.


Position Overview

The Licensed Veterinary Technician will work closely with our veterinarians and medical team to provide exemplary technical support in all aspects of patient care. This includes surgery, dentistry, laboratory diagnostics, anesthesia monitoring, client education, and overall patient advocacy. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about maintaining a positive and collaborative hospital culture.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.

  • Safely induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia.

  • Perform dental cleanings, dental radiographs, and patient charting.

  • Collect and process lab samples (in-house and reference).

  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed.

  • Provide client education and discharge instructions.

  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure Fear Free handling practices.

  • Support inventory and equipment maintenance as needed.

  • Foster teamwork, efficiency, and a supportive work environment.


Qualifications

  • Must hold a current Washington State Veterinary Technician License (or ability to obtain one).

  • 1+ year of experience in a clinical veterinary setting preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

  • A genuine compassion for animals and commitment to high-quality medical care.
