Veterinary Assistant - Rose Valley Veterinary Hospital Location: West Kelowna, British Columbia

What You’ll Need 

  • Previous veterinary or animal care experience is an asset 
  • Exceptional client service skills that build trust and lasting relationships 
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities 
  • Compassion and a gentle approach when working with pets and people 
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure 
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills 
  • Initiative and reliability when completing tasks independently 

Your Role 

  • Assisting veterinarians and technicians with patient care, using low-stress handling techniques 
  • Supporting the client care team and occasionally helping at reception as needed 
  • Preparing medications and supplies for clients (under DVM or RVT direction) 
  • Providing attentive care to hospitalized patients, including feeding, walking, and comfort 
  • Handling, cleaning, and sterilizing surgical equipment 
  • Helping keep the hospital running smoothly with general cleaning, restocking, and maintenance duties 

Compensation 

Starting at $18.00/hour, with increases based on experience.
