Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)

Evergreen Animal Hospital

Job Description

Join Our Paw-some Team!
Licensed Veterinary Technician Extraordinaire Wanted!

What we’re looking for:

·         A Tech with a Heart: Whether it’s a hamster, a cat, or a golden retriever, we need someone who can handle all creatures great and small with love, care, and maybe a little bit of animal whispering magic.

·         A Multi-tasking Wizard: Between checking in rooms, running lab work, and comforting sometimes-anxious pets, your ability to juggle tasks like a circus performer will be key.

·         A Team Player: You’ll be part of a tight-knit crew that treats each other like family and each patient like royalty (minus the tiaras… unless the patient is into that).

What You’ll Be Doing:

·         Preparing patients for surgery, placing IV catheters, intubating patients, and monitor vitals using our best-in-class monitoring suite.

·         Taking radiographs (digital) and assisting doctors with our new state-of-the-art ultrasound.

·         Preparing samples for lab submission – blood, urine and poop! Oh my!

·         Providing top-tier nursing care to our furry friends (to include belly rubs, slow blinks and snuggles).

·         Running diagnostic tests that will make you feel like a pet detective using our in-house Chemistry, CBC and Sedivue.

·         Dentistry – we believe strongly in keeping our patient’s teeth strong and healthy.

·         Educating pet parents on how to keep their animals happy, healthy, and Instagram-worthy.

·         Collecting patient histories and maintaining their medical records.

·         Helping with a wide range of creatures (dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, rats, and other little hairy beasts) - because every pet deserves their time to shine.

Requirements:

·         A veterinary technician degree or certification.

·         Participation in a kind, strong and collaborative culture.

·         A self-starting mentality and a desire to work hard for your team and your patients.

·         A sense of humor and the ability to adapt to new situations with a positive attitude.

·         Must love animals (of course!), but also love being part of an awesome team.

You can count on:

·         Hourly wage of $28.00 - $31.00 DOE

·         Sign-On Bonus - $2000.00

·         Full time position - working 4/10’s

·         Health, dental, and vision insurance for full time employees

·         401(k)

·         Paid time off and paid holidays

·         Continuing education allowance and paid license renewals

·         Uniform allowance

·         Employee pet care discounts

·         Supportive team environment with opportunities for growth and advancement
