Technical Product Owner (Azure)
Location: Remote (prefer CST/EST time zone)

About the Role
We’re seeking a Technical Product Owner to drive roadmap, delivery, and adoption of capabilities built on Microsoft Azure. You’ll translate business outcomes into technical work, partner with engineering and architecture, and ship secure, observable, and reliable services across data, integration, and application platforms.
What You’ll Do
- Own vision, roadmap, and backlog in Azure DevOps (Features/Epics/Stories), balancing net-new features, tech debt, security, and reliability.
- Shape technical delivery with engineering across:
- Data: Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks (Delta Lake), ADLS Gen2, Azure Data Factory / Synapse Pipelines, Power BI/Fabric.
- Integration: Azure API Management, Event Hubs/Service Bus, Functions, Logic Apps.
- App/Platform: AKS, Azure App Service, Container Apps, Managed Identity, Key Vault.
- Datastores: Azure SQL, Snowflake, API.
- Define Done right: Write precise user stories and acceptance criteria including performance, security, observability, and testability.
- Measure outcomes: Set SLAs/SLOs and product KPIs (e.g., refresh latency, data pipeline success rate, cost/unit), and use Azure Monitor / App Insights / Log Analytics dashboards.
- Security & governance: Ensure designs use Private Endpoints, VNET integration, RBAC/Entra ID, Key Vault, Microsoft Purview for data lineage/classification, and align with Defender for Cloud recommendations.
- Stakeholder management: Align with Product, Finance, Security, Compliance, and Engineering; communicate status, risks, and trade-offs clearly.
Minimum Qualifications
- 4–7+ years as a PO/PM or Technical Program role delivering platforms or data products in agile environments.
- Hands-on fluency with Azure services:
Azure DevOps (Boards/Repos/Pipelines), ADF/Synapse Pipelines, Databricks, ADLS Gen2, Synapse SQL, API Management, Functions, Event Hubs/Service Bus, Key Vault, Entra ID (Azure AD). - Strong understanding of CI/CD (YAML pipelines), environments, approvals, and Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/Terraform/ARM).
- Comfortable querying with SQL and interpreting telemetry in App Insights/Log Analytics.
- Excellent written/verbal communication; can translate between business and engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Power BI / Microsoft Fabric (workspaces, capacity, dataflows, semantic models).
- Data engineering/product background (Delta Lake, medallion architecture, CDC, table design & partitioning).
- Security/privacy experience (Managed Identities, PIM, least privilege, PII handling.
- Domain experience in healthcare/pet healthcare, consumer, or multi-tenant B2B platforms.

- Predictable delivery with improved reliability (SLOs hit), lower costs, and faster time-to-value.
- Strong adoption of platform/data capabilities and reduced labor for engineering.
