We are a busy, state of the art veterinary hospital searching for a full time Veterinary Technician with at least 1 years experience. Certification is preferable but not required. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent nursing care, handle laboratory diagnostics, assist in surgery, and communicate effectively with pet owners. The technician plays a critical role in promoting the health and well-being of our patients while supporting veterinarians.
Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Perform physical assessments, take vitals (temperature, pulse, respiration), collect samples (blood, urine, feces), and administer treatments.
  • Surgical Assistance: Prep patients for surgery (shaving, cleaning), sterilize instruments, assist with procedures, and monitor anesthesia/recovery.
  • Laboratory/Imaging: Operate X-ray machines, process in-house lab tests (cytology, urinalysis, fecal screens), and run diagnostic equipment.
  • Client Education: Discuss treatment plans, provide nutritional advice, and explain post-operative care instructions to pet owners.
  • Hospital Maintenance: Clean cages, maintain hygiene, sterilize equipment, and manage pharmacy inventory.

  • Fast-paced, often stressful environment requiring quick responses to emergencies.
  • Exposure to odors, fluids, and potential injury from animals.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
