Hopkinton Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. As our hospitals continue to expand and welcome additional veterinarians, we are adding more support staff who are passionate about patient care and teamwork. 

Our practice is proud to be AAHA-accredited, Fear Free focused, and a Cat Friendly Practice, offering comprehensive veterinary services including advanced orthopedic surgery, exotics care, I-131 therapy, preventative medicine, and high-quality small animal care. 

We operate two busy hospitals located just 14 minutes apart, giving our team exposure to a diverse caseload and opportunities to learn from experienced veterinary professionals.

What We’re Looking For 

We’re seeking a Veterinary Assistant with at least 1–2 years of experience in veterinary medicine who enjoys being hands-on and working closely with patients and the veterinary team. 

Ideal candidates will have experience with: 

  • Animal restraint and safe patient handling 

  • Basic understanding of animal behavior 

  • Preventative care and wellness appointments 

  • Assisting veterinarians and technicians during exams and treatments 

  • Client communication and support during visits 

  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment 

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is:

Schedule 

We offer consistent scheduling with flexibility for our team. 

Schedule options may include: 

  • 4 ten-hour shifts 

  • 5 eight-hour shifts 

Additional scheduling details: 

  • Some closing shifts (until 7:30 PM) 

  • One Saturday per month (8 AM – 12 PM) at one of our hospitals

Compensation & Benefits 

$20–$23 per hour (based on experience)
