Job Description

Applicants must be third or fourth-year students of accredited domestic or international veterinary schools, pursuing a DVM, VMD, or foreign equivalent.

Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists – NASA Parkway is a newly-established 24-hour emergency/critical care and specialty veterinary hospital dedicated to providing compassionate and transparent medical care to companion animals.  Located in Webster, Texas, a small suburb of Houston close to NASA’s Johnson Space Center, GCVS NASA Parkway is an 18,000 square foot hospital with 7 exams, 2 operating rooms, dedicated ultrasound and radiology rooms, and an endoscopy suite.

We offer an externship program for successful 3rd and 4th year clinical veterinary students of AVMA Accredited schools to further their training. Participating students observe cases from diagnosis through treatment, supported by professionals across multiple disciplines: 

  • Emergency/Critical Care
  • Internal Medicine
  • Sports Medicine

Eligible students may apply for an externship from one to four weeks, with no more than two weeks spent on a single service.
